Chapter 4

Last kill

Hit man

The police officer, Hancy, was tense. He was shocked when he saw me and said,

“You tried to kill the president. You are the one!”

I replied,

“No way. I’m the one searching for the president’s murderer, to find him and kill him.”

Hancy answered,

“Wait, wait. You don’t need to search for that. I know the truth—let me tell you.”

Suddenly, someone shot him from the window. I had never seen such a murder before. The case was so confusing. Suddenly, Albert told us to kneel down. As we did, someone shot at us, but we were safe. Albert said,

“I’ve figured out this case.”

He told me the whole story, and I was shocked. I knew the plan and also who killed the president. But it wasn’t easy for me to kill that man—he was a huge personality. Still, my gun was bigger than his power.

We knew about him, so we didn’t rush. The three of us went to a restaurant and started eating. Albert shared how a fourteen‑year‑old boy had once terrified us more than this new guy. We laughed and ate like we didn’t care. We talked about how Rafael had lived his life—it was awesome.

Later, it was time. I took my sniper rifle, wore a classic hit‑man outfit, and went to a building to set my position. I prepared my sniper, aimed, and fired. I shot the president.

I woke up, put the sniper back in the briefcase, and calmly walked down. I didn’t use the lift—I used the stairs. Then I entered a random hotel room and dressed as if I were staying there.

When I came out, a police officer arrived with his force to catch the sniper. I asked,

“What happened, officer?”

He explained everything and asked if I knew anything. I declined. You might expect me to mislead them, but no—I stayed innocent. You don’t have to stick your nose everywhere. Be nice, mind your own business.

They went upstairs. I changed into new clothes, disassembled my sniper, and left the hotel like a normal man. Soon, I was outside before the police locked the place down. I escaped and went home.

And yes—the case was solved without any hard work…
