CHAPTER 5
THE END? PRINCESS’S RESCUE
The jungle was alive with whispers. Branches clawed at the sky, and the moon hid behind a veil of clouds. I was taken—kidnapped by Ross’s men—my wrists trembling, my breath shallow. And then, through the darkness, he appeared.
Prince Ross. His smile was faint, almost tender, as he spoke:
"Do not be afraid. I brought you here so that you may see the sunrise tomorrow."
But fear and fury burned within me. I struck him across the face.
"You have no right to take me like this. It is wrong!"
His smile shattered. Anger flared in his eyes, and his hand met my cheek with a force I did not expect. Shock froze me, then instinct carried me into the jungle. I ran, branches tearing at my dress, shadows swallowing me whole.
Behind me, his voice broke through the night, softer now, almost pleading:
"Forgive me… I planned this for three days, and your slap broke me. I lost myself in anger."
My heart faltered. The defiance that had carried me dissolved into sorrow. I turned, trembling, and embraced him.
At 3 a.m., the world was hushed. We waited together, silence binding us more than words. And then, as the horizon bled gold and crimson, the sun rose.
The sky was a canvas of fire, painting our destiny in hues of hope.
I saw the sunrise with the man who had stolen my heart.
He led me back in secret, slipping past guards like shadows. In my chamber, he sat by the window, smiling, his eyes reflecting both guilt and joy. His happiness became mine.
Descending the stairs, I found my parents waiting. Their faces were pale, carved with worry. My father’s eyes brimmed with tears—tears of relief, of love.
And then, there he was again: Prince Ross, no longer a captor but a suitor.
"Ross has come for peace," my father said, "and he wishes to marry you."
Shock gripped me, but wonder soon followed. The man who had dragged me into the night now stood before me as the promise of a new dawn.
I asked my father about the wedding date. He smiled, though undecided. In that instant, I forgot Robin, sora, and all others. My world narrowed to one truth: I was waiting for my wedding day. TO BE CONTINUED……………
